Usage Policy
This Usage Policy governs use of clickclick, including the clickclick for macOS application, the companion app for iMessage, account and support websites, command routing, automation tools, AI provider integrations, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service.
clickclick is intended for lawful productivity, software development, research, accessibility, personal knowledge work, and creative workflows under human supervision.
1. Provider Policy Alignment
Your use of clickclick must comply with all applicable third-party policies for services you connect or use through clickclick. Current provider materials reviewed for this policy include:
- Apple: App Store Review Guidelines, Apple Media Services Terms, iCloud Terms, Apple Privacy Policy, and Licensed Application EULA.
- OpenAI: Terms of Use, Services Agreement, Service Terms, Usage Policies, Privacy Policy, and API documentation.
- Anthropic PBC: Consumer Terms, Commercial Terms, Privacy Policy, and Usage Policy.
- Google: Google Terms of Service, Google Privacy Policy, Gemini API Additional Terms, Google Cloud Terms, and Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.
If a provider policy is stricter than this Usage Policy for a provider-powered feature, the stricter provider policy applies to that feature.
2. Required Conduct
You must:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and with all required rights, permissions, notices, and consents.
- Review prompts, files, screenshots, notes, messages, contacts, and other context before sending them to an AI provider or third-party tool.
- Supervise agentic actions and verify outputs before relying on them.
- Maintain backups before using file, terminal, repository, note, message, or system automation.
- Use clear AI disclosure where the Service powers an external-facing chatbot, assistant, message, publication, or customer interaction.
- Comply with website terms, robots.txt where applicable, API terms, open-source licenses, confidentiality duties, privacy obligations, and professional duties.
- Stop automation if it behaves unexpectedly, affects unintended targets, or could cause harm.

Unsafe Automation
- Run destructive, irreversible, externally visible, or financially consequential automation without appropriate review and explicit authorization.

- Automate Apple Notes, Messages, Contacts, Terminal, browsers, files, or operating-system interfaces in ways that violate user expectations, recipient consent, provider terms, or applicable law.
4. iMessage Companion Rules
When using the companion app for iMessage, you must:
- Send messages only to recipients you are authorized to contact.
- Review message content, sender identity, recipients, attachments, and forwarding settings before sending.
- Avoid spam, harassment, deception, unsolicited marketing, mass outreach, or attempts to evade message filtering.
- Understand that command and result records may be stored in your private CloudKit database and may remain after a conversation is unbound, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate, suspend, limit, or terminate access if we believe your use violates this policy, provider policies, law, or safety expectations. Providers may separately monitor, enforce, suspend, or terminate access under their own policies.
We may remove content, refuse requests, restrict features, require additional review, or report activity where required by law or necessary to protect people, systems, rights, or the Service.
